Datang Taiyuan No.2 Thermal Power Plant (formerly Taiyuan No.2 Thermal Power Plant) is called No.2 Power Plant. It was founded in 1956. It is located in Jiancao District, northwest direction of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. It is a wholly-owned and directly-owned enterprise of China Datang Group Company. Its registered capital is 53.4 million yuan. It has gone through more than 50 years of arduous struggle of several generations and has undergone six stages of construction until now. At the end of 2006, the total installed capacity in service was 1.1 million kilowatts.
